I first stepped into a Yoga class in the 1990s. At the time, I perceived it simply as a physical stretch. After a decade of practicing on and off - and shifting my perspective many times - I finally began to understand why it is called a “practice.”

Coming from China, I was naturally exposed to traditional Chinese forms of exercise. Curiously, it was only after I became a passionate Yoga practitioner that I started to understand the logic and philosophy behind those traditional movements. They, too, are “practices” with deep, shared roots.

Last year, I made the decision to complete my training and become a Yoga teacher. From this space, I want to share my reflections with you, talk about the “dots” that I’ve connected along the way, and continue exploring new ways to care for our being.

I welcome you to join me: to learn from the wisdom of our ancestors, and to move and breathe as we have done for thousands of years.
